New, fresh, and in demand. These are the few words that make up the Gig Economy. Would it surprise you to know the even Baby Boomers are also thriving in this modern way of working? In fact, according to Wonolo, 31% of Baby Boomers are doing 3 gigs per week! Moreover, the same generation are the ones who earn most money on Wonolo. There is really no excuse for anyone to not earn cash because age in the Gig Economy really doesn’t matter. This is a common misconception in the Gig Economy, that it is only reserved for the younger generations.

In addition to that, Baby Boomers applying in the Gig Economy are also valued since their job experiences speak for them, making them one of the competitors for younger generations applying for gig works. 

Tips on how freelancing could work for Baby Boomers:

  1. Plan work schedules and be disciplined. This will help keep things on track and balanced.
  2. Do not procrastinate. If there is a task, do it. Regardless of what day or time it is. Freelancing is different from a ‘regular’ job setting.
