What to do if your android phone has a virus?

Flicking through YouTube, watching adult sites, or playing games are common areas where you might pick up a virus. Clicking on adverts, downloading games or apps, or talking to strangers could also lead to viruses on your phone.

Your phone may still get infected with a damaging virus even if it doesn’t run a complete desktop operating system. Your Android phone is susceptible to numerous types of malware, therefore it’s important to know how to eliminate malware from your phone. Phone viruses are a reality at this point but luckily, if your phone does end up infected, it will just be a little nuisance to get rid of its virus.  It does not take long to clean up your phone and to delete files that are unwanted.

The iOS and software on iPhones and Android phones are very different. As a result, there are distinctions between the viruses that attack various mobile platforms and the degree to which each Operating System is protected against viruses. In this article, let’s focus first on how you can deal with virus infection if you are using an Android device.

  1. Uninstall unknown apps

Recent sightings of apps you didn’t install raise concerns that they are malicious. Delete any unknown programs from your phone that might endanger your security. Moreover, delete any apps you may have with few downloads, low ratings, and terrible reviews on the App Store or Google Play Store; this could clear your phone of any bad programs that the app may have.

  1. Clear cache

Clean up your Android device after uninstalling unwanted applications. You can help ensure your phone is ready to go by doing some basic maintenance tasks like clearing the cache and history and polishing up the startup process. If you’re having app problems on your Android device, clearing the cache is a quick and easy approach to recovering some storage space.

  1. Reset your Android device

If you’ve exhausted all other options for removing the virus from your phone, resetting it to factory settings may be the only option left. If malicious software altered certain settings, the modifications will be undone. With a simple button tap, you may restore your phone to its original factory settings, wiping it clean of any viruses and other potentially harmful files and applications.  This might mean losing some data, photos and games, but you still have your phone and it is cheaper to do this.
